Samsung Galaxy S II Skype Video Calling

Samsung Galaxy s II Skype Video Calling, Video calling finally works on the Samsung Epic 4G Touch, one of the many Galaxy S II variants for the US market. The update comes out more than five months after the original launch of the phone back in September.

The addition of the (deep breath) Samsung Galaxy S II Epic 4G Touch to the list of supported devices for video calling is the only major addition in this version of Skype.

Free Skype Video Calling is one of the best apps for Samsung Galaxy S II

Samsung Galaxy s II Skype Video Calling Feature
In order for a phone to use Skype’s video chat feature, it has to have a front-facing camera, and that hasn’t been a standard feature for all that long. But in addition, the camera needs to support the same basic APIs that Skype uses – and sometimes custom manufacturer software can interfere with this.

Second-generation HTC and Samsung phones were especially bad about Bluetooth compatibility, apparently due to the software used in their custom user interfaces.

You can download the Skype update from the Android Market now. Stock users of the Galaxy S II Epic 4G Touch may be in for a nice surprise soon – some official literature posted on the carrier’s forum indicates that they’re planning an upgrade to Android 4.0.3.

If it comes as soon as it seems to be, the Samsung Galaxy S II Epic 4G Touch may be the first US version of the Galaxy S II to get Ice Cream Sandwich. Sadly, a software update can’t do anything about that name.

Activate Face Lock Feature Samsung Galaxy Nexus

The famous Samsung Galaxy Nexus is the first Android 4.0 phone that has the latest Google software matched up with the Samsung hardware.

This phone is available in the U S on the Verizon Wireless 4G LTE Network. It is the first device to have the unique Face Unlock, which uses state-of-the-art facial recognition technology to unlock the phone.

It also has a 4.65” Contour Display with a true high definition (720p) resolution HD Super AMOLED screen. Its special lightning-fast dual-core 1.2GHz processor was combined with a 4G LTE or HSPA+ technology. Other features that set it apart include the Android Beam, Live Effects, zero-shutter lag, a deeply integrated Google+ experience, and a new People app. Galaxy Nexus is also available in Canada, the United Kingdom, Germany, Italy, Korea and Japan. Soon, it will be available in Australia, France, Russia, India, Taiwan, Hong Kong, and elsewhere!
Samsung Galaxy Nexus Face Lock App Picture
Samsung Galaxy Nexus Face Lock App

How to Activate Face Lock Feature Samsung Galaxy Nexus

Before setting up the feature on the Galaxy Nexus I’m testing, the phone warned me that Face Unlock isn’t nearly as secure as using a numeric passcode—and indeed, there’s always the possibility of a false match if someone who looks “similar” to you sneaks a peek at your handset. In other words, don’t protect your phone with Face Unlock if you’ve stored military secrets on it.
So, ready to use your face to unlock the Galaxy Nexus? Here’s how you do it.
  1. Go to the Settings menu and tap Security, Screen Lock.
  2. Tap the Face Unlock option to see the litany of notes and caveats about the feature (including the assurance that your stored profile picture will be “kept private” on your handset). Ready to continue? Tap “Set it up.”
  3. Next, you should see … well, yourself. Hold the phone until your face fits in the dotted outline; once the camera thinks it has a good shot of your face, it’ll snap a photo automatically. (For the best results, Google advises taking a Face Unlock photo indoors, where it’s not “too bright or too dim.”) Once you’ve made it to the “Face Captured” page, tap “Continue.”
  4. So, what happens if your Android phone can’t identify you through Face Unlock? Well, you’ll need a backup PIN or a security “pattern” to trace on the phone’s touchscreen, which you’ll be asked to set up once you’re done snapping photos of your face.
That’s it! Now, time to test. Lock the Galaxy Nexus, then press the “sleep/wake” button and hold the handset right in front of your face; the phone should unlock itself within seconds of ‘seeing” you.

Take multiple Face Unlock photos of yourself in different conditions—say, with your glasses on and off, or both outdoors and indoors—to give the phone a better chance of identifying you correctly. Just go back to the Settings menu, tap Security, then select “Improve face matching.”

How to update time warner cable App on Android

About How to update time warner cable
Time Warner Cable has made good on its promise to Android users — an app optimized for Honeycomb tablets is now available in the Android Market. While this app does offer a program guide and on-the-go DVR management, it is missing a major feature: there's no live TV streaming, unlike Time Warner's iPad app.

Time Warner admitted this would be missing when it announced the app a few weeks ago, but it's still a letdown considering iPad owners have been able to stream live TV since March. As for when Android users might get this feature, Time Warner only says it will come sometime after Ice Cream Sandwich lands on tablets, which Time Warner seems to think will happen in the first few months of 2012. Still, the Android 4.0 source code is already out, so we hope Time Warner isn't just stalling.

How to update time warner cable App on Android
Latest Update time warner cable App for Android : Time Warner Cable released a Honeycomb tablet app a few weeks ago, and now that app is available for Android phones as well. Just like the tablet version, you can check out the Time Warner programming guide and manage your DVR on-the-go, but you still can't stream live TV (unlike the iPad version which launched last March). TWC's blog notes again that this feature will come as soon as manufacturers and OEMs start rolling out Ice Cream Sandwich to phones and tablets.

The company's also is planning to release an update to the iPad-only iOS app in Q1 so iPhone users can get in on the fun. What is still unknown is whether or not the new iPhone version will allow live streaming like the current iPad app does.

Grand Theft Auto 3 on Samsung Galaxy s2

Grand Theft Auto 3 is one of the games on a gadget. How about Grand Theft Auto 3 on Samsung Galaxy s2 ?

Unfortunately !, I have not tried it but reportedly, Grand Theft Auto 3 not support on Samsung Galaxy s2. If it is true, it becomes a shortage of Samsung Galaxy s2, It's not support Grand Theft Auto 3 on Samsung Galaxy s2.

Samsung Galaxy s2/ Samsung.Com Image
According to Rockstar the game will not be released to the Samsung Galaxy S2 due to some limitations with the processor of the popular Samsung smartphone. Despite being first utilized last May, 1.2GHz dual-core Exynos processor of the Samsung Galaxy S2 is reportedly holding up against the latest processors that have entered the market recently.

Since the processor of the Samsung Galaxy S2 is not widely-used, it appears that Rockstar is not giving much attention to it with the upcoming availability of the Grand Theft Auto 3 to some of the recently-released smartphones.

However it appears that the Grand Theft Auto 3 will be made available to smartphones using the Nvidia Tegra 2 processor including the LG Optimus 2X and the Motorola Atrix. The Samsung Galaxy R will also be able to take advantage of this situation since it reportedly utilizes the Nvidia Tegra 2 chip unlike the Samsung Galaxy S2.

So, How we can do ? Because Grand Theft Auto 3 on Samsung Galaxy s2 is not supported ?

How to Activate Video Chat on iPhone or iPad

The new Breakthrough Tinychat video chat aplication, Video chat can be done with 12 friends simultaneously.

How to activate video chat on iPhone or iPad ? Easily.
You can use the video chat application in your iPhone or iPad. Like skype, Fring or Tinychat. These video chat aplication is support and can you use to yours iPhone or iPad. It's free and ready to use.

Skype finally got around to launching a 2-way video chat for the iPad recently, but competitor Fring already has a 4-way video chat app for the iPhone and iPad. But if that’s not good enough for you, Tinychat has you covered with a new app that lets you participate in group video calls with up to 12 people.

Yes. 12. No. I don’t know why you’d want to see 11 of your friends faces in tiny windows on your iPhone screen, but the free app does also support the iPad.

Here’s how it works. You can fire up the free TinychatFB app on your iOS device and it will show you a list of all your Facebook contacts that are online. You can invite any of them to participate in a video chat and Tinychat will send them a link to a website.

Tinychat’s desktop service is entirely browser-based. There’s no software to install. As long as your computer has a camera and a microphone you just visit the web app to participate in video chatrooms that take just a few seconds to setup.

The company’s new mobile app only lets you communicate with your Facebook contacts — not with other Tinychat mobile users. But a future app will add its own contact list and other features that lets you setup and participate in group video calls with or without Facebook.

Are you ready to try ?

Facebook video chat aplication for iPhone, Android and Blackberry

Facebook video chat app for iPhone, Android and Blackberry
For you the owner of the iPhone and Android, as long as it you might looking for a Facebook video chat application for iPhone or facebook video chat applications for Android. But you do not find it.

Facebook Messenger, the social network's new messaging app for iPhone and Android, may soon have a video chat component. Hackers rummaging around in the new smartphone app have discovered traces of a video chat feature that appears to be under development. The hidden service was first reported by 9-to-5 Mac and How To Arena later confirmed similar video chat remnants were in the Android version.

Facebook Messenger Has Hidden Video Chat Feature, The hidden service is in the iPhone and Android versions of the app.Video chat doesn't seem to be functional yet, but it's a pretty good bet Facebook will announce the new feature in the coming months. Facebook announced Messenger on Tuesday for Android and iPhone devices. The new standalone app features instant messaging to friends or groups, and photo and location sharing. Facebook says a BlackBerry video chat app version will be available soon.

Facebook has been hard at work improving the social network's messaging capabilities. In October, the company introduced text-based group chat for the new version of Facebook groups. A month later, Facebook rolled out a redesigned messaging service that saves your Facebook e-mail, SMS and instant messaging in one place. In July, Facebook launched video chat in partnership with Skype for Windows and OS X users. During the Skype announcement, Facebook also made text-based group messaging a standard part of the social network that works outside the new groups feature.

Video chat no surprise
Although it's encouraging to see video chat features buried in Facebook's new messaging apps, the discovery is hardly a surprise. During its Skype announcement in July, Mike Barnes, Skype's product manager for the Facebook video-chat client, told PCWorld that Skype was ready to add mobile video chat to Facebook's service. "Barnes gave me the distinct impression that Facebook will soon be adding both group video chat and mobile video chat in the near future," PCWorld's Mark Sullivan reported in July.

So look for video chat in the near future, and don't be surprised if group video chat shows up, too.

Google introduced a group video chat feature called Hangouts in June as part of its rollout of Google+, the search giant's new social network.

CFG: Cosmo For Guys, Free, Released August 1
Move Over Maxim, Cosmo For Guys Arrives [Updated]
The folks behind the popular Cosmopolitan magazine for women have just released a men’s magazine exclusively for iPad. In doing so, CFG: Cosmo For Guys attempts to answer one of life’s most difficult (and yes, sexist) questions: What Do Women Want?
Created by Hearst Communications, Inc., the iPad magazine is intended for readers 21 and older, which is a good thing given the subject matter.
Each monthly issue offers advice and specific “detailed tips and techniques that will help you satisfy her in bed and out.”

The Berenstain Bears’ Bedtime Battle, $2.99, Released August 2
The Berenstain Bears’ Bedtime Battle Will Now Commence
Oceanhouse Media is pleased about their new partnership with another HarperCollins division, which allows more great Berenstain Bears titles to make it into the App Store and onto your iDevice. This expanded collaboration begins with the release of The Berenstain Bears’ Bedtime Battle.
“The Berenstain Bears omBooks continue to be one of our most beloved app series,” said Michel Kripalani, President of Oceanhouse Media. “It’s exciting to have the opportunity to expand the number of these treasured books in our omBook collection thanks to our wonderful partnership with HarperCollins Children’s Books.”

Bug Heroes Quest, $.99 & Universal, Released August 2
The Bug Heroes Follow-Up Is Now Available As A Universal App
If you were a fan of the tower defense, dual-stick shooter, and action RPG hybrid — Bug Heroes — you will be in for a treat with the recent release of the game’s spinoff (and follow-up). The new title has been released as a universal app and is called, Bug Heroes Quest. The art style and core gameplay mechanics appear similar to Bug Heroes, but the action follows a different formula.
Bug Heroes Quest is a story-based adventure rather than just an arcade-style action game. The game has a deep story that progresses through a campaign based on completing a variety of missions. This makes the new title more of an action RPG, rather than a tower defense game like the first entry.

Zepi: Classic HD, $.99, Released August 3
New Zepi: Classic HD App Looks Amazing On iPad
Zepi: Classic HD is a fantastic new app that just arrived for the iPad. The reaction-based app is designed to test both your wit and reflexes. It is the latest in the Zepi app series for iOS.
Created by OstinGames, the app has one primary goal: to tap/slide skins of the same color to link them into a single string. Doing so will give you points and eliminate those skins you’ve selected. As the game goes on, new objects appear and more quickly than those before.
What makes the game difficult is that you must figure out the most efficient strategy for scoring high points and achievements. Slow down and you’ll be in trouble and the game will end.

Rdio, Free & Universal, Updated August 4
Rdio Flies By Spotify by Launching First iPad App
Today, Rdio became the first of the big three streaming music services in the U.S. to offer an iPad app. The Rdio app is now universal and works on the iPhone/iPod touch and iPad.

First introduced in 2010, Rdio offers ad-free music for as little as $4.99 per month. It competes directly with MOG and Spotify, among others, which offer streaming music services.

Unlike Spotify, Rdio doesn’t offer a free listening plan. However, it does allow new users to try out the service for free for seven days. To do so, just sign up using your email address within the app.  Best of all, a credit card is not necessary during the promotion.

The Best iPad Apps Of The Week is published each weekend; a companion piece, The Best iPhone Apps Of The Week, is published separately.
