Asus Nexus 7 Tablet Specs, Price and Release Date

Asus Nexus 7 (Photo: Picasa)
The tabled and as-yet unannounced Google Asus Nexus 7 Tablet may have taken one step closer to its long-awaited release date this week, as the device reportedly made its first appearance on popular benchmarking site Rightware.

Eric Schmidt of Google had of course promised the arrival of a pure Google tablet before the close of Q2 this year, which would suggest that a Asus Nexus Tablet release date announcement will be made by the end of the month – if his word is kept to, of course.

Asus Nexus 7 Tablet Specs

Featuring what appears to be three colors (white face, black/grey back), the tablet has the familiar Google logo right in middle of the backside. Looking quite a bit like a massive Galaxy Note, the tablet looks to be held in more of a portrait mode as opposed to landscape.

Notice that speaker at the top of the screen? Surely we are not the only one who thinks this thing might double as a phone. Either way, we'd use Google Voice and install Groove IP on the first day.

Should the listing prove authentic, the Google Nexus Tablet aka the Asus Nexus 7 tablet will boast a quad-core Nvidia Tegra 3 processor and herald the arrival of Android 4.0 Jelly Bean.

The tablet will likely appeal to tech enthusiasts because unlike the Kindle Fire, a Nexus tablet would be able to access the full Google Play app market, and would run the latest version of Android without any modifications.

Asus Nexus 7 Tablet Price

An Asus representative confirmed Google will announce a Nexus-branded and Asus-built 7-inch tablet at the end of the month with a sub-$250 price tag.

The representative, who wished to remain anonymous, revealed the news to Android Authority during last week's Computex trade show, but offered no other details about the tablet except that “it will be awesome.”

While we can't independently confirm Android Authority's report, we do know that Google has hinted at its own tablet since December. That's when Eric Schmidt said the company would “market a tablet of the highest quality” within six months. Google later showed interest in competing with budget tablets such as Amazon's Kindle Fire.

Asus Nexus 7 Tablet Release Date

We reported the possibility of the ASUS building a 7-inch Nexus tablet earlier, but that rumor just jumped a notch with an unnamed rep confirming to Android Authority that it is indeed working with Google on a quad-core tab.

Though the mole wasn't willing to divulge more specifics, previous speculation points to the Tegra-based MeMO 3270T with Jelly Bean, the next iteration of Android. The publicity-shy source also confirmed the device would be coming at the end of June -- putting it within reach of Google's upcoming big event.

Whether it is an Xperia Ion, Arc HD or the Nozomi ?

Sony has taken to the company’s Facebook page to tease a “big announcement” coming at next week’s Consumer Electronics Show. Keen-eyed readers suggest that the teaser images, pictured above, could depict the sequel to the Xperia Arc, though nothing has been confirmed.

Over the past few weeks we have seen various Sony leaks suggesting that the company will soon announce a mega-phone set to launch on AT&T, code-named the LT28at. Sony Ericsson also recently registered a new trademark for the name Xperia Ion, and rumors have suggested that the “Nozomi” smartphone may land at this year’s show as well. Whether it is an Xperia Ion, Arc HD or the Nozomi, Sony looks to be gearing up for something big at this year’s Consumer Electronics Show.

Sony Ericsson trademark filing reveals Xperia Ion name

In the coming year, Sony Ericsson plans to have more of an Android presence in the United States. Earlier rumors suggested that Sony is planning a high-end smartphone that will land on AT&T, code-named “LT28at.” Additionally, another high-end device code-named “Nozomi” is currently being tested by carriers in Hong Kong and could possibly make its way stateside. According to a recently filed trademark with the U.S.

Patent and Trademark Office, Sony is looking to market a new device as the “Xperia Ion.” The trademark was filed shortly before the holidays on December 13th for use in connection with “mobile phones.” With the Consumer Electronic Show just around the corner, we could certainly see this new Xperia device revealed at the show in just over a week.

What Is The Sony Ericsson Xperia Ion?

Will Sony (once dropping the Ericsson bit becomes final) be adding a model to its Xperia line of Androids called the Sony Ericsson Xperia Ion? That's the latest theory going around, thanks to the discovery of the product name in a trademark filing with the USPTO. Just what might this hardware end up being?
What is Sony Ericsson Xperia Ion ?

For the moment, at least until we learn something else that helps to narrow-down the field any, the Xperia Ion is a potential name for any of the Sony Androids we've learned of being in development. We recently saw some pictures snapped by the thirteen-megapixel LT28at (Sony Ericsson Xperia Ion), and its Bluetooth SIG paperwork claimed the phone would see a release in North America, presumably continuing the Xperia name. While nothing specifically ties it to the Ion, it's as good a possibility as any.

There's also the possibility that the Sony Ericsson Xperia Ion will be a new name for some hardware we've already heard identified, like the Nozomi. This seems like a less likely possibility than something like the LT28at (Sony Ericsson Xperia Ion) taking the name, but it's still one to consider.

Sony Ericsson Reserves Ion Trademark for Nozomi Phone?

Android-maker Sony Ericsson has filed for the XPERIA Ion trademark for what is speculated to be a variant of the company’s codenamed Nozomi smartphone, which boasts high-end specs. The LT28at model is believed to be a variant of the rumored Nozomi phone with a 4.55-inch display with a 1280 X 720-pixel 720p HD resolution screen.

The trademark was originally filed on December 13, and it’s unclear what name the phone may be released under. Previous speculations had it that the Nozomi phone would be branded as an XPERIA Arc HD handset.

The device may be introduced by the handset maker as early as CES this year, or a year after the XPERIA Arc was introduced at CES 2011.

In addition to the high resolution screen, the LT28at is believed to have a 13-megapixel camera, giving it the most megapixel of any phone released so far in the U.S. The previous title went to Nokia with its large 12-megapixel camera sensor and Carl Zeiss optics on the Nokia N8, which also had a Xenon flash.

The LT28at is rumored to also support 4G LTE alongside HSPA+ on AT&T’s carrier network.

Sony Ericsson smartphone may be named Xperia Ion according to trademark

The Sony Ericsson LT28at, that is described as an Xperia “super phone”, may have a name according to a recent trademark filing with the United States Patent and Trademark Office. On December 13, Sony Ericsson Mobile Communications AB filed a trademark for “Xperia Ion”.

The goods and services covered under the application (Serial Number: 85493863) include nothing more than mobile phones, similar to its trademark filings for the Xperia Play and Xperia Arc.

Earlier this month a number of sites reported that Sony will likely unveil its new Xperia smartphones at CES 2012.  CES 2012 is taking place in Las Vegas, from January 10-13, 2012.  The Xperia Arc, one of the newest models in the Xperia line, was revealed at CES 2011.

Sony Ericsson gets Xperia Ion trademarked, official name for LT28at?

Sony Ericsson is expected to launch several Android phones at the upcoming Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas next month and one of the devices being launched might be called Xperia Ion. This name was recent spotted in a trademark filing at USTPO under goods and services (mobile phones) by SE.

Filing has not revealed any other details, but it is being rumored that the recently leaked LT28at superphone will get this name.

Sony Ericsson (soon going to be Sony) LT28at is expected to feature 4.55-inch 720p Reality display, 13MP rear camera with LED flash, front camera with 720p recording capability and a 1.5GHz dual-core processor.

We are just weeks again from CES, so it won’t take long before we get an official confirmation about this. Stay tight and we will be bringing you all the CES news right here.

iPhone 5 Screen 4.6 Inch with Retina Display Report Says

Once the issues The New iPad uncovered, now have new issues emerged about the arrival of the iPhone 5. A lot of rumors about iphone 5, and one of the rumors that circulated from a trusted source is about iPhone 5 screen will present bigger screen.

Apple is purportedly already placing orders with suppliers for a 4.6-inch iPhone Retina display, Reuters said today, citing a report in South Korea's Maeil Business Newspaper. The phone is due in the second quarter, according to the report.

If accurate, that would be Apple's third device with a Retina display. The others include the just-released 9.7-inch iPad and the 3.5-inch iPhone 4S.

The 960-by-640-pixel Retina display on the iPhone packs in 326 pixels per inch while the new iPad's 2,048-by-1,536-pixel screen squeezes in 264 pixels per inch.

A relatively massive--for a smartphone, that is--4.6-inch glass screen would be a big step for Apple from the 3.5-inch iPhone. A larger phone may also allow Apple to include updated chips such as the A5X. That chip's marquee feature is quad-core graphics.

By comparison, the Samsung Galaxy S II Skyrocket HD has a 4.65-inch HD Super AMOLED screen.

Apple enthusiast site MacRumors says the likelihood of the rumor being true is low.

"There have been persistent rumors that the next generation iPhone would carry a larger 4-inch screen. And we are convinced that Apple had exactly such designs in late prototype stages in China," said MacRumors.

Indeed, there were reports before the launch of the iPhone 4S that Apple was working on an iPhone with a bigger screen. But those reports predicted a phone measuring 4.2 to 4.3 inches, not a full 4.6 inches.

Samsung Galaxy S III To Be Launched Soon In Australia

According to the Smarthouse.com.au The Samsung Galaxy S III, or S3, will launch in Australia shortly after the phone is revealed at the World Mobile Congress in February claim Samsung sources.

The new Samsung Galaxy S3 which has a 720p screen, quad-core Exynos processor and the Ice Cream Sandwich Android software is tipped to be one of the best selling phones in 2012. The Samsung Galaxy S III, or S3, will launch in Australia shortly after the phone is revealed at the World Mobile Congress in February claim Samsung sources.

Samsung produced the Galaxy Nexus, the Google-branded phone that currently leads the Android pack in spec terms, and all the Samsung Galaxy S III needs to do is add a few bells and whistles to justify turning up 3-6 months later. The screen will reportedly remain the same – a highly impressive 720p Super AMOLED panel – but the processor will be upgraded from dual-core to a quad-core chip and the 1GB of RAM boosted up to 2GB. It'll also use TouchWiz, Samsung's staple custom Android UI, but so do virtually all Galaxy phones.

iPad 3 Internal Parts Photos and Video

Photos of iPad 3 Internal Parts that is allegedly an iPad 3 component suggest that the tablet will continue to use Apple’s 30-pin connector, as opposed to microUSB or another popular industry-wide standard port.

iPad 3 Internal Parts Photos were published by Macotakara, which spotted them on TVC-Mall.com, a website belonging to an Apple parts reseller. Apple has included the 30-pin connector on the iPad, iPod and iPhone since the iPod first made its debut.

A microphone mic flex cable ribbon leaked earlier this month by TVC-Mall also suggests that the iPad 3 will feature a cosmetic redesign, which may include a thicker case in order to make room for a new high-resolution display.

The iPad 3 could launch as soon as March or April and the company is rumored to have an “iPad mini” in the works as well. A few more images of the iPad 3′s purported 30-pin connector follow after the break.

An image iPad 3 Display Panel Photo also was posted to a Korean Apple forum may represent the rumored high-definition iPad 3 display.

Recent rumors have pointed towards the iPad 3 featuring a retina-resolution IGZO panel, which is likely to be manufactured by Sharp and released in early 2012.

The image below shows the alleged pre-production iPad 3 Display Panel Photo as well as what is believed to be a comparison photo with the iPad 2. The show shows a new configuration of the ribbon cables which may indicate a new internal configuration for power or data transfer, necessary to support the increased resolution on the iPad 3.

Sony Ericsson Xperia Nozomi Specs

Sony Ericsson's forthcoming flagship was already looking like a very handsome slice of smartphone, but it's even more dashing in these thankfully crystal-clear shots. This latest leak give us a nice close-up of the matte-finished monolith, showing off a dedicated camera button, HDMI port, built-in battery and the conspicuous absence of microSD storage.

The LT26i is rumored to possess a 720 x 1280 resolution spread across a 4.3-inch touchscreen, with a dual-core processor behind it. Sony Ericsson also looks to have finally taken the plunge with front-facing shooters, with an as-yet unspecified camera embedded above the screen, while a stylish glassy button bar below seems to run right through the device. Take a peak at the still-codenamed Nozomi -- uncovered -- after the break, or check out a full 360-degree runaround at the source below.

iPad 3 Newest Rumors: Double Model and Battery Boost

Most experts are speculating about the possible characteristics, features, and specifications of new iPad 3 by basing it on the previous iPad generation, the iPad2. Let us take a look at The Advantages of Apple iPad 3 in several iPad 3 rumors that have been revolving around iPad review websites.

Today iPad 3 Newest Rumors which re-emerged into the headlines a few well-known websites. Here are some specs of new iPad 3 and its release schedule, according to some websites. All of which favor the advantages that exist on the iPad 3.

According to the Bostinno.com here is iPad 3 Newest Rumors :

Two iPads in January?
Don’t bet on it, says GigaOM. While the release date for the next-generation iPads is probably sometime in Q1 of 2012, January is a bit early for two models to hit the market, and a February release sounds like a more realistic plan. Even if Apple does unveil the iPad 3 in January, it probably won’t be widely available in stores for another month or two after that.

The iPad 3 will have a Retina Display, LED Bars and New Processor
It’s been talked about for quite a while, and DigiTimes confirms earlier reports that, yes, Apple will have a retina display (2,048 x 1,536) on each new iPad model. The units will also be equipped with dual-LED light bars that allow for better lighting, and will also come with an upgraded quad-core A6 processor.

iPad 3 Double the Battery Life

It looks like the iPad 3 may have a battery whose life is quite a bit longer than the battery in the iPad 2. High-capacity batteries are planned for the iPad 3, which could make the battery last as much as twice as long as the most recent model.

What’s the Difference iPad 3 Models ?

The only difference between the two models, according to the DigiTimes report, is in the camera – the high-end iPad 3 will have an 8 megapixel camera, while the mid-range model will only have a 5-MP lens. Is this a big deal? Not really, says Gigaom.

iPad 2 Price to Drop

With the iPad 3 on its way, the price of the iPad 2 – right now selling for $499 – could drop by as much as a couple-hundred dollars, making the tablet affordable for pretty much everyone and likely boosting sales as Apple tries to compete with Amazon’s Kindle Fire.

iPad 3 New Specifications

According to Webpronews.com, here the new specifications iPad 3
  • the iPad 3 may be getting a major battery boost;
  • there may be (though I doubt it) two iPad 3 models being prepped for launch;
  • Apple may be (but probably isn’t) preparing for a January 2012 announcement of the iPad 3, possibly (though not probably) at MacWorld.

Apple iPad 3 Release Date

Apple to unveil next iPad (iPad 3) in January 2012
Apple to unveil next iPad (iPad 3) in January 2012, this statement, according to the USAtoday.com, Another week, another fresh set of rumors about Apple's next rendition of the iPad.

The latest wave stems from Digitimes once again, who claim Apple is expected to unveil two versions of its next iPad in late January.

Perhaps the most important detail is Digitimes has backed off an earlier report that Apple was planning to launch a "mini" iPad with a 7.85-inch screen.

According to the latest Digitimes details, it appears Apple will release two new iPad models and price the iPad 2 to compete with Amazon's red-hot Kindle Fire tablet.

Samsung Galaxy S3 Specs: 3D Screen and Quad Core Processor

What is the advantages of Samsung Galaxy S3 ? What is a new features on Samsung galaxy s3 ? The 2012 rumor mill is turning. New reports hint at an unveiling for the Samsung Galaxy S III at Mobile World Congress in February. Samsung galaxy s3 will have 3D Screen and Quad Core Processor.

Korean site Etnews reports that Samsung may introduce its Samsung Galaxy S III phone at Mobile World Congress in February. Strangely, the site also claims that it will have 3D technology built into the screen, which is odd considering that the LG Thrill (Optimus 3D) and HTC Evo 3D both failed to capture any attention with their glasses-free 3D screens.

Other rumors point to a highly capable device. Phandroid recaps the rumored specs, which include a Super AMOLED Plus HD screen, a quad-core processor, 2GB of RAM, 4G LTE connectivity, and Android 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich) with Samsung’s TouchWiz interface overlayed on top of it. We imagine that the phone will come in many variations as well, much like the Galaxy S II, which was hand-tailored for every carrier in the United States, with each model looking slightly different.

More importantly about Samsung Galaxy s3 specs rumors you can read here. So, are any of these rumors credible? We really don’t know. Samsung isn’t talking about galaxy s3 and MWC doesn’t start until Feb. 27 2012.

The Advantages of Apple iPad 3

Most tech-addicts are anticipating the release of every new Apple product including the iPad 3. Even before the release of this product, there are already several rumors posted online. Some of these rumors are possibly true, while others are not.

Most experts are speculating about the possible characteristics, features, and specifications of this gadget by basing it on the previous iPad generation, the iPad2. Let us take a look at The Advantages of Apple iPad 3 in several iPad 3 rumors that have been revolving around iPad review websites.

iPad 2 Picture

The Advantages of Apple iPad 3 Specs

A retina display was widely predicted for the iPad 2, but of course the current iPad doesn't have a double-resolution display: for now, that's something you'll only get in the iPhone 4 and iPhone 4S. Could an iPad 3 Retina Display be on the way? It's the very first thing on our iPad 3 wish list.

The exciting news is that it looks as though it is happening, with Apple reportedly testing suppliers' current shipments of 2048 x 1536 resolution 9.7-inch displays. However, rumours continued over the summer and autumn of 2011 that the retina display in the iPad 3 was continuing to be a challenge.

Back in May 2011, we reported that the iPad 3 could launch with a Samsung-made AMOLED screen, following rumours that Apple has been in talks on the matter with Samsung execs. There have also been more LG and Samsung rumours, too.

However, according to the Wall Street Journal in late November 2011, Sharp will manufacture panels for the device. Apparently Apple is investing in infrastructure at Sharp's LCD plant. Further rumourssaid that Apple is looking to implement some nifty dual LED lightbar technology into the iPad 3, apparently in a bid to counter-balance the brightness issue that the Apple tablet may have, due to its super-high pixel density.

A part leak in early December again pointed to a Sharp-manufactured 2048x1536 retina display and dual lightbar.

  • Will the iPad 3 have a smaller dock connector?
Parts previewed on some websites indicate that, although the iPad 3 will still have a 30 pin dock connector, the packaging is streamlined. Well, if this is true, we knew it would happen sooner or later.

  • The iPad 3 hardware could include an NFC chip
Apple's very interested in Near Field Communications, and one particularly tasty rumour at Cult of Mac suggests that the iPhone 5 will use NFC to take over nearby Macs, enabling you to use your data and settings with a flick of the wrist.

  • The iPad 3 specifications will include more storage
The iPad 2 has the familiar 16/32/64GB storage options, but as flash storage comes down in price, a 128GB option for the iPad 3 isn't impossible - although that might depend on the situation in Asia, where natural disasters have caused chaos in parts of the electronics industry this year.

  • The iPad 3 features could include a Thunderbolt port
Two generations of USB-free iPads suggest that Apple just isn't interested in adding one, but the new Thunderbolt port found in the 2011 MacBook Pro and MacBook Air could be another story: it's a combined accessory/display connector with astonishingly fast performance.

  • iPad 3 to be a 4G LTE unit?
Cnet.com believes that the new iPad may feature a Qualcomm 4G LTE Gobi 4000 chip for next-gen connectivity.

  • There could be more than one iPad 3

TUAW says the iOS 5 code features new code files for USB devices in the iOS 5 firmware, Through this, TUAW found references to an iPad 3,1 and an iPad 3,2.

  • The iPad 3 could be thicker
The iPad 3 might be bulking out, reportedly so it can house a higher-resolution display than the iPad 2, and the extra girth is all down to pixel density.

  • The iPad 3 could be made by someone other than Foxconn
Apple was said to be in talks with another Far Eastern manufacturer as the release of the iPad 3 nears. Digitimes says that as there was a fire at usual supplier Foxconn in May, Quanta Computer and Pegatron Technology could benefit.

On 1 August it was reported that a contract had definitely gone to Pegatron rather than Foxconn.

  • The iPad 3 specs might include an SD card slot
This was widely predicted for the iPad 2 and, like the Retina Display, didn't materialise. One for version 3, perhaps? Using a separate adapter to read camera cards is rather inelegant and clunky.

  • The iPad 3 specification should include a better camera
The rear-facing camera on the iPad 2 isn't brilliant: an iPhone 4S-style camera and flash would do nicely.
The Advantages of Apple iPad 3 in: The iPad 3 might use gesture controls

Could the iPad 3 have Kinect-style gesture controls? We're not so sure, but rumours suggested so in late October 2011.

  • The iPad 3 could feature a carbon fibre case
Apple has hired a carbon fibre expert, senior composites engineer Kevin Kenney, fuelling speculation that the next iPad could be encased in the lightweight material.

samsung galaxy s3
When is Samsung Galaxy S3 Release Date ? Its many Samsung Galaksi s3 Rumours, but according to a Korean tech site, Samsung is reportedly planning to unveil its new flagship Galaxy S III phone at the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona next year. The event takes place between February 27 and March 1, so Samsung could be the first phone maker to unveil a quad-core design, but HTC could also debut its quad core Edge phone at MWC 2012. According to earlier reports, the chip could run at up to 1.5GHz, but more importantly, it is supposed to feature next generation Mali T604 graphics core, which should be the fastest graphics core used on any ARM SoC to date.

* Samsung Galaxy S3 Rumors I: Androidos.in

According to the androidos.in, here is Samsung Galaxy S3 Rumors. Samsung to launch 3D Android phones next year, Galaxy S3 to feature quad-core processor.Samsung is planning to launch 3D Android smartphones next year. Company is actively working on the next generation of 3D technology to integrate in these smartphones, they won’t just provide 3D display, but will also help you play 3D games, record 3D movies and work with 3D TVs.

Apart from these new 3D devices, Samsung might also include the technology in Galaxy S III. According to ETnews, it is however not final till now whether Galaxy S3 will come with 3D or not, but in order to procure 3D components at a major level, Samsung would need six months and that would delay the S3 launch. Thus Galaxy S 3D (tentative name) might be company’s first 3D Android phone, which is expected to launch in Q2, 2012.
Korean publication further stated that Galaxy S III announcement is currently scheduled for Mobile World Congress with availability in April. S3 is expected to feature a quad core processor; but there is no word on other specifications, which we suspect would include Android 4.0 and at least 4.5 inch display.

Expected to launch at Mobile World Congress 2012, sources close to Samsung have hinted at the inclusion of an Exynos 4412 chip, sporting quad-core architecture. Specs-wise, the 4412 is 32nm, with four ARM Cortex A9 cores running at 1.5GHz each.

It's a "big step past the Galaxy Nexus class, in every way," said the source, with the Exynos looking more than capable of holding its own against the NVIDIA Tegra 3 chips headed to HTC handsets next year.

Also rumoured for the S2 follow up (Samsung Galaxy S3) is the Mali-T604 GPU. It's capable of 5x the graphical performance of previous Mail chips, and makes good use of the all the power quad-core devices offer.
