The Archos Child Pad is a 7-inch, $129 tablet running Android 4.0 and the Child Pad looks very similar to the $199 70b Honeycomb tablet, but the specs are a bit different — you'll get a 1GHz processor and 1GB of RAM. It's not clear how much storage or what kind of screen it includes, but we wouldn't be surprised if it had the same 1024 x 600 capacitive display as the 70b and Archos says it's also made some tweaks to Ice Cream Sandwich for the Child Pad, adding a custom skin, some pre-loaded games like Angry Birds and also stronger parental controls. Archos is pairing up the $129 machine with access to the AppLibs Kids App Store, which offers a portfolio of over 10,000 games, books and apps and the tablet will start shipping at the end of March.
