HTC Wildfire S Review by PhoneArena
PhoneArena reviews the HTC Wildfire S. Much like the HTC Desire, the original Wildfire played a significant part in bringing HTC and Android to the masses. More affordable than its higher specced sibling, it was nevertheless endowed with HTC's trademark build quality and Sense UI. In our review, the handset got an overall thumbs up, with room for improvements, most notably with respect to the screen. Hopefully, with the HTC Wildfire S, HTC have managed to put the hot back into this Wildfire

CNET Review
The Good: The RIM BlackBerry Curve 3G 9300 is slim and compact, with a responsive optical touch pad, convenient external media keys, Wi-Fi, stereo Bluetooth, GPS, 3G, and a 2-megapixel camera.

The Bad: The RIM BlackBerry Curve 3G 9300 is not too different from its predecessors, and remains a fairly basic smartphone.

The Bottom Line: The RIM BlackBerry Curve 3G 9300 is a decent entry-level BlackBerry with a couple of modern features like 3G and GPS, but we wish it was more affordable.

Recombu.com Review
Review Summary: The BlackBerry Curve 3G 9300, as its name suggests, is a 3G-enabled phone that's an upgrade of the 3G-less Curve 8520 phone. We took it to town to test out its web-browsing capabilities and see what else it had to offer

Trustedreviews.com Review
Review Summary: The Curve 3G 9300 is basically an updated version of the Curve 8520 - RIM's previous entry-level model. But rather than merely rehashing that phone, RIM has added in some tempting extras, not least of which is support for 3G, something that the 8520...

Kindle DX Wireless Reading Device

Kindle DX Wireless Reading Device

Kindle is the only large screen eReader (9.7 inch) available from the top 3 eReader brands (Kindle, Sony Reader, Nook). Since nearly every other eReader company is far behind the top 3 it's perhaps your only choice if you want a top-notch large screen eReader.

The 9.7 inch screen means you get 2.5 times the screen area you would from a 6 inch Kindle 3 or 6 inch Nook. It makes a pretty big difference with PDFs and newspapers and websites and is quite pleasurable even when reading. It also becomes your ideal eReader if you need or like rather large font size and still want lots of words on every page.

The other thing that makes it unique is the $379 price which is closer to the iPad than to eReaders. This balances out a lot of the positives and firmly cements it as an awkward caught-in-the-middle device. If the Kindle 3 and Nook are for people who love to read the Kindle DX 2 is for people who love to read and love it more than the next 5 things combined. View Detail

Buy Now From Amazon.com

Even before the Kindle 2 launched, there was talk of an even newer, larger digital reader from Amazon that would be geared more toward reading textbooks and periodicals. We all assumed it would be bigger, but it was unclear exactly what form it would take. Well, now that it's finally arrived, what is a little surprising is how much the Kindle DX--bigger face aside--is a dead ringer for its little sibling.
In profile, the two devices appear equally svelte: the 0.38-inch-deep DX is just a tad thicker than the 0.36-inch Kindle 2. Obviously, the big difference here is the Kindle DX's 9.7-inch e-ink display (1,200x824-pixel resolution), which technically offers 2.5 times more screen real estate than the Kindle's 6-inch display. That extra screen comes at a price, both figuratively and literally, as the DX weighs almost twice as much (18.9 ounces) as the Kindle 2 and costs $130 more, at $489.

The good: The Kindle DX offers 2.5 times the screen real estate as the Kindle 2; native PDF support; you can switch from portrait to landscape mode by just turning the device; large library of tens of thousands of e-books, newspapers, magazines, and blogs via Amazon's familiar online store; built-in free wireless "Whispernet" data network--no PC needed; built-in keyboard for notes; faster processor speeds up the device; with 4GB (3.3 usable) of internal memory, it's capable of storing 3,500 electronic books; font size is adjustable; decent battery life; displays image files, and plays MP3 and AAC audio.
The bad: Expensive; somewhat heavy compared with the Kindle 2; no expansion slot for adding more memory; no protective carrying case included; battery is sealed into the device and isn't removable.
The bottom line: The pricey Kindle DX offers improvements over the Kindle 2, but its larger chassis has its pluses and minuses.
